How can I be sure that my child will be safe?
St John Youth has a strict Child and Youth Protection Policy which is all about making sure the safety and well being of the young people in our care come first. Do I have to purchase the uniform for my child?
No, St John supplies the uniform on receiving a uniform bond of $50.00 for cadets and $25.00 for Penguins. This is a one-time payment to ensure the appropriate care of the uniform. The bond is returned on the return of all items in clean and perfect order. The bond returned is reduced based on the cost of replacing, repairing or dry-cleaning items.

Are there any membership costs?
St John Youth asks for a donation towards their child belonging. This is a contribution towards the general running costs of attendance. The donation requested is $10.00 per term ($40.00 per year) for the first family member and $5.00 per term ($20.00 per year) for each additional family member. That’s about $1 a night!
There may also be extra activity fees for camps, visits or other activities which can range from $10.00 to $50.00 depending on the activity. St John has funds available to meet costs in case of hardship.
